Mojave, written by Ryan Gattis and Kevin Staniec, is a hybrid: part prose, part play, part graphic novel merged into one; giving a full narrative experience in 2 hours of read time; it is about a woman who, in order to find her missing husband, must agree to kill him. It is set in the near future when the water runs out in the southwest desert regions of the United States.
 The book was illustrated by Simon Leclerc.

Simon Leclerc illustrated 12 moments to enhance key plot points of the story. Simon is a Montréal-based artist. He studied animation in Montréal and at the California Institute of the Arts. His first student short won the China-Canada award for best student short movie. His first graphic novel Nevada (Glénat) won the Bedeis Causa award for best first professional graphic novel. Simon continues to work in multiple industries including animation, publishing, and video games. Recent clients include Boom Studios, Digital Dimension, Glénat, Monolith, Pascal Blais Studios, and WB Games.
