Shirley Napoleone

I write to escape the world. I write because I want to create something better, something so much more that people will begin noticing me for all the right reasons. I write because when I write, I am not me, I am whoever I am writing. I write because the worlds I create are the worlds I’d rather be in than this boring and messed up one. I write because I am in control of this one thing. I write because sometimes, I can’t handle life, so I need something to distract me, and that something is the one habit that I’m proud of, the one aspect of myself that shows who I really am past this ugly thing called a body that I’m trapped in.

I write because it makes me who I am. It makes me, me.
